Giveaway odds calculator
Thinking of entering a giveaway? Drop in its numbers and find out your real odds, what each entry is actually worth, and whether it's worth your time. No sign-up, no catch.
How it works
Most people pick giveaways by prize size. That's backwards. The prize tells you what you could win, but your odds decide whether you ever will, and the two often pull in opposite directions: the flashiest prizes draw the biggest crowds.
The honest way to compare is expected value: your chance of winning times the prize. A $300 gift card with 400 entrants is worth about 75 cents an entry. A $5,000 trip with 200,000 entrants is worth about two and a half cents. The small prize is the better bet, and it isn't close.
This calculator runs the same math, then folds in the things that quietly eat your return: the effort to enter and how long you wait for results. The result is a single 0 to 100 score, the same idea behind the VibeWin Score. And yes, every real giveaway is free to enter. If one asks for money, walk away.
What the score means
- 82 to 100, strong pick. Good odds for the prize and quick to enter. Go for it.
- 64 to 81, worth a look. A fair shot if entering doesn't cost you much time.
- 46 to 63, average. Only bother if you genuinely want the prize.
- Under 46, skip it. The math doesn't work. Spend the minute elsewhere.
